How to sell an e-scrap container

This guide is for recyclers, collection centers and businesses in the Caribbean, Central America and Colombia that want to sell e-scrap by the full container or full load to a wholesale buyer in Miami. We buy only e-scrap and catalytic converters.

1. Sort by grade

• High grade (server, telecom), medium grade and low grade boards, each kept separate.
• Computer and laptop motherboards apart from power-supply boards.
• RAM, processors (ceramic and plastic CPUs) and hard drives, each in its own box or bag.
• Whole units (servers, phones, laptops) apart from dismantled material.

2. Clean the load

• Remove batteries: they must not travel inside the material.
• Remove housings and cases where you can; clean material avoids deductions.
• Keep everything dry: load under a roof, on pallets or in closed bags.

3. Send photos before loading

Photos or video of each material type, the approximate quantity (kilos, pounds or pallets) and the country and city. We reply with a reference price and approval to load. If you also have converters, see how to photograph them; they can travel in the same container.

4. Load and document the container

• Each product with its weight recorded.
• One photo every two pallets while loading.
• Closing photos: doors, seal with its number, and a video.

5. Arrival and payment

The container arrives at PortMiami, Port Everglades or Houston and is delivered to our South Florida warehouse. We confirm the weight and send the wire transfer the same day.

Documents

Export permits for electronic waste and used catalytic converters depend on each country's laws (and, for e-scrap, sometimes the Basel Convention). Check current requirements with your customs and environmental authorities or your customs broker before loading. We do not give legal advice.

We give a reference price from your photos and quantities; the final weight is confirmed when the container reaches our warehouse.
